Art & Craft Faculty
Deepak is a young creative and dynamic Art Teacher, extremely sensitive to the creative demands of the students. He is presently in his final semester of MFA at Delhi College Of Arts New Delhi and has completed his BFA (Painting) in the year 2017.
Deepak has been with Kalasthali for last 4 years and is proficient in all mediums of Painting. . He is able to adapt to all age groups.
At Kalasthali, Deepak is also able to guide students who are preparing for BFA/NID.
Deepak has many facets to his talent as an Art Teacher. He is a master in realistic work and has vast experience in all Art Mediums. He has immense talent in craft and has a specialty in “best-out-of-waste”.
Deepak completed his BFA/MFA (Painting) from Lalit Kala Sansthan Dr B R Ambedkar University Agra.
He has attended various workshops and seminars organized by Lalit Kala Academy and has a working studio at Lalit Kala Academy Garhi, East of Kailash, New Delhi.
His paintings have been selected for various galleries across Delhi and India. He has been with Kalasthali since 2015.
Art and Sculpture Faculty
Chinmoyee Ma’am has been with Kalasthali since 2013 and is a Master Sculpturist. She completed her BFA from Government Art College Kolkata and completed her MFA (Sculpture) from Vishwa Bharti University (Shanti Niketan) Kolkata.
Her body of work in Terracotta techniques and relief sculpture is outstanding and has been widely appreciated by Lalit Kala Academy and Vishwa Bharti University.
Her work, studio and Sculptures appeared in various Art Magazines including INSIDE OUTSIDE.
She is proficient in various mediums in sculpture like Metal/Fiber Glass/Ceramics/Terracotta. Her versatility in both Art and Sculpture makes her take out best from her students.
Priti joined Kalasthali in the year 2016. She is extremely talented in the art of Craft and Sculpture.
She completed her BFA (Painting) and MFA (Sculpture) from Delhi College of Arts, New Delhi.
She attended various Art/Craft workshops organized by the Delhi Government at Bal Bhawan New Delhi.
Her work in sculpture was selected as one of the best in the various exhibitions at a National Level.
She has also been selected to attend various workshops organized by Lalit Kala Academy in recognition of her sculpture securing best position in various Art Exhibitions.
Priti is proficient in various mediums of sculpture like Metal/Fiber Glass/Ceramics/Terracotta.
The Piano Teachers at Kalasthali are proficient in teaching Western Classical Music (Trinity and ABRSM).
They have a Grade 8 qualification in Piano and have experience in preparing the students for the ABRSM and TRINITY SCHOOL OF LONDON syllabus for theory and practical examinations.
We have both male and female faculty for the Piano classes.
The Guitar Faculty has Grade 8 qualification of from Trinity.
We follow curriculum of Trinity and ABRSM in training our Guitar students for the examination.We offer ROCK N POP in the course of our Guitar Classes as per syllabus provided by Trinity College of London.
We at Kalasthali believe that Violin is the king of all instruments. The instrument is not only very complex to learn but is also devoid of good teaching faculty.
We are fortunate that Mr. Surya a grade 8 in Violin is taking the time to provide classes in this exceptional instrument.He is also proficient in taking Hindustani Classical Music Violin lessons from beginner till level 3.
Our chess class faculty Mr. Shukla is a (FIDE) certified Chess Coach. FIDE is a World Chess body.
Its important in life to strategize and base your decisions on them. Chess as a game teaches us various levels in stratagizing and help us develop our faculties in risk management and thereby promote original thinking.
Chess classes at Kalasthali follows both traditional and modern conventions and concepts respectively. Students of all age groups and levels are part of our Chess classes.
Pottery (On Potters Wheel)
Art of Pottery and Sculpture embodies all the elements of a human body i.e. air, earth, water, ether and fire.
The Potter’s wheel itself philosophically denotes the life cycle and propagates it through its circular movement. Human body is made up of all these five elements. Doing pottery and sculpture helps one to balance all these elements in the body.
Who could be better person to teach you this art than a traditional Potter?
Mr. Dinesh belongs to traditional family of potters. He has many credits to his name including solo exhibition at Dilli Haat and Potters market in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. He is associated with Kalasthali for last 5 years.
Indian Classical Music (Vocal)
Ms. Shepalli is associated with Kalasthali for last 1 year. She belongs to Digambar Gharana in the classical music tradition.
Her musical bent for this form is immensely appealing to the students of all age groups.
Shepalli Ma’am has a unique tonal quality and this makes her stand out from other music gurus.
Indian Classical Dance (Kathak)
Kalasthali’s Kathak Faculty Ms. Ritusri is a disciple of Ms. Madumita from Kolkata.
Ms. Madumita learned her kathak from Pt Birju Maharajji.
Ritusri Ma’am has performed in many national and international forums including SPIC MACY, Bharat Bhawan, UNESCO and various programmes conducted by Indian Embassies in central Asia, US, Europe.
She is associated with Kalasthali since the inception of Kathak class in Oct2017.
She pursued design courses from Art Centre College of Design, CA, USA. Initiated her origami experience being involved with Reiyukai America, non-profit organisation for a couple of years in creative recycling workshops using recycled milk/ juice/ paper cartons, using inexpensive materials and simple tools. Also she has taught these crafts promoting the organisation at various events like comic con, earth’s day festival, etc in California.
